my poll

Well, peeps, I finally figured out how to put up a poll. It wasn't too hard. I just had to click on the place where its marked poll. You should put one on your blog too. Because all the cool bloggers (like me! ; ) )* have them on there blogs.

BUT YOU SHOULD REALLY VOTE. Cause I'd get kind of discouraged if noone even responses to my poll. Anyhoo, so go ahead and vote already.


*Thats a winky faces, in case you didn't know. Don't be embarassed. It took me a while to figure out all this complicated blog stuff. Its almost like a whole new language! Tho, to be honest, I only got a C in Spainish.

a poem which I found

Now, I'm not going to get all literary and stuff on you, but I found this poem that I thought fit the theme of the blog so perfectly that I had to put it in. Also, it was written by this woman name Christine Rossetti and, like it says in the poem, a rose is pink. (get it Rossetti = rose = pink?).

Anyhoo, this is the poem which I found.


What is Pink?

What is pink? a rose is pink
By the fountain's brink.
What is red? a poppy's red
In its barley bed.
What is blue? the sky is blue
Where the clouds float thro'.
What is white? a swan is white
Sailing in the light.
What is yellow? pears are yellow,
Rich and ripe and mellow.
What is green? the grass is green,
With small flowers between.
What is violet? clouds are violet
In the summer twilight.
What is orange? why, an orange,
Just an orange!


Just between you and I, it was a little bit of a disappointment, because even though the title was What is Pink, the poem turned out to be about a whole bunch of other colors that weren't really relevant to the title. Maybe she should have named it Colors or something like that.

Also some of the words don't acutally rhyme with the others. Like blue and thro' (which I don't think is a real word anyway). And probably it would have been better if she left out the last part. Every one knows that there aren't any words that actually rhyme with orange! LOL!

Did you ever realize that your smallest finger is called a "pinky?" Like this infers somehow that pink is a little tiny color thats basically not good for anything except typing letters like a and q and p and l.

But how ironic! Because pink (the word pink) begins with p (the letter p).
